Event Details

A wave of optimism came with the start of 2022 as domestic and border restrictions relaxed, regional and global economies rebounded, raising hope of an imminent return to a semblance of normality. The ongoing Ukraine war, monetary policy tightening in global economies and sustained supply chain disruptions due to military conflict and the pandemic could lead to disorderly market adjustments.

Hear from our Global Research team as they share their views on the Global and Vietnam outlook for the second half the year, including the following highlights:

  • The risks to the global economic outlook have increased further but recession calls are premature for now
  • Global monetary tightening has accelerated as efforts to control inflation increase
  • Elevated food and energy prices remain a threat, especially for large parts of EM
  • Financial markets are more accurately reflecting these risks compared to last quarter
